Why yet another video summary service

Choice is a good thing right?

First and foremost I built something that I couldn't find somewhere else. Yes, there are other services, some are free with limited functionality and others charge hefty monthly subscription fees. And this is where the biggest differentiator is.

How much does this cost?

It costs whatever the backend service is charging. The OpenAI API price is charged one to one and the hosting costs are $ 0.05 per interaction with any of the models. You can't get it any cheaper. Well you can, if you are willing to do some manual work.

What does it do?

Magic :-)

In all seriousness it helps get insights from your Youtube videos for now. I might add audio in the future (think podcasts). But for now you can

• Generate summaries for your videos
• Interact with your videos, ask any question
• Do bulk questioning, add entire playlits to chat or query many videos at the same time
• Save time and marginally better keep up with all the information out there

What can't it do?

It might make things up :-) or can't work with videos that don't have any captions. When interacting with videos and asking questions try to be as precise as possible so the AI doesn't make things up too much :-).
